“It will take time to clear away the wreck.” Page 123 — Time takes time, it is said, and years or decades of damage are not generally repaired instantly. Work is required, and faith, and intentional change. We made our lives unmanageable and untenable. We also made the lives of those closest to us unmanageable and untenable. Early in recovery, we find the power of hope, but change is not an overnight matter. Recovery is a lifetime commitment.
