On the one hand, I woke confused that I drank again. On the other, I couldn’t admit to the confusion for that would mean I wasn’t the center of the universe. I had to make room for another power to be at the center of my universe. I had to surrender and admit I was baffled, making room for new answers. I had to accept help. But not till after years of pain. I pray you’ve had enough pain.
