“When, therefore, we speak to you of God, we mean your own conception of God.” Page 47 — My conception of God needed an overhaul. I had to dismiss several decades old beliefs. I had to be willing to make room for new beliefs. Listening to others’ stories, hearing how they changed, led me to believe I could change, and led me to believe that change would benefit me. I unwittingly borrowed the faith and truth of my fellows in A.A., and my conception of God allowed me to make a decision to continue the work of our program. Step Two changed me. And my life.
