“‘I have since been brought into a way of living infinitely more satisfying and, I hope, more useful than the life I lived before. My old manner of life was by no means a bad one, but I would not exchange its best moments for the worst I have now.’” Pages 42-43 — I fully relate to this sentiment. I had some really bad moments in my old life, but mostly I just drifted about. Not miserable, but not really happy either, most of the time. It could have been far worse. (And it still could be much worse if I return to drinking!) But today I have some things I didn’t have before recovery: self-respect, fulfillment, peace, and direction. I came to A.A. to stop the pain. What I found was far more.

Help one; save two. Happy Wednesday!
