I felt disconnected, even married with many children. And my island of misery was shrinking, as the vast tides of alcohol and desperation rose. I was the walking dead, wandering in desolation. But not today. The steps and the fellowship and God have conspired to change me for the better. Today, I know peace, and the real happiness that comes with trust and living with purpose.
